World of Warcraft, like Final Fantasy XIV, is one of the longest-running MMORPGs that still requires a subscription to play. Many MMORPGs have come for WoW’s crown, with very few being able to hold their own. With many going free-to-play, having a game like WoW that still requires a subscription is a rarity. But, this subscription allows Activision Blizzard to continually put out content in the form of major patches and expansions. So, if one isn’t sure, try it out for a month. If you opt to bite the bullet and dive headfirst into Azeroth, there are options to make it hurt your wallet a little less.
