In Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, one of the most significant and emotional moments of the entire Main Story Quest (MSQ) is the finale at Ultima Thule. The theme music that plays at the end helps make it an incredibly moving moment as you slowly walk toward the last two duties of the expansion.

The official track name is Close in the Distance. A moving song about loss and the end of a journey, Close in the Distance fully encapsulates the dramatic climax of Endwalker.

Performed by Jason Charles Miller, who you may recognize from his respective roles in Halo Infinite and Avatar: The Last Airbender, Close the Distance is one of the most emotionally gripping themes in Endwalker. What’s more, after you’ve completed the MSQ, it becomes the backing theme for the Ultima Thule area, meaning you’re reminded of the dramatic conclusion to the game every time you finish the zone.

If you’re looking to get your hands on the track of Close the Distance, you might have to wait. There’s currently no official release date for the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Official Soundtrack (OST).

However, you can already obtain the Orchestrion Roll for the song via an in-game solution. The Close in the Distance Orchestrion Roll is obtainable from the Gemstone Trader in Ultima Thule, located at X: 30.8, Y: 28.0, near the Base Omicron Aetheryte.
