One of the standout titles that debuted on the PS5 when the console launched in 2020 was Bugsnax, an indie title from Young Horses, the team behind Octodad: Dadliest Catch. Bugsnax was a free game for PS Plus subscribers and became an instant classic thanks to its great characters, story, and gameplay. October 2021’s State of Play, a new update showed players a sneak peek at upcoming content for Bugsnax.
Bugsnax: The Isle of Bigsnax update will be available for PS4 and PS5 in early 2022. PlayStation gave no specific date, but we’ll undoubtedly hear more from Young Horses in the coming months. Not only is this update introducing an entirely new island for players to explore, but it brings new Bugsnax for hunters to catch and feed their fellow island dwellers.
The update is accessible to all owners of the original game. Anyone who updates their title when the update drops can experience all the new mysteries added to this already outlandish adventure.

Bugsnax is available now on the PS4, PS5, and Epic Games Store. The title will also come to steam sometime in 2022.
