The Warhammer 40,000 franchise has seen numerous different games in numerous different genres. Few have been as popular as the original Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine released in 2011. Finally, after a decade, fans get their first look at the sequel to the third-person hack and slash game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.
While a trailer was shown for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II, no official release date was given. The official website only lists Coming Soon for the game. Still, fans can at least rest easy knowing the game is in the works.
Once again players will take control of Captain Titus, a Space Marine, and heed the call of battle. The first game saw the player facing off against hordes of Ork, but the sequel will see the player fight against the Tyranid instead. Regardless of the foe, there is only war.
Players can unleash deadly abilities and wield an arsenal of devastating weapons to fend off and destroy the hordes of Tyranid forces before they are overwhelmed and slaughtered.
