Maneater is an action game where you play the role of a shark. Developed by Tripwire Interactive, the developers of Killing Floor and Rising Storm, you can be sure there will be plenty of blood and body parts in the game.

The game is due to release on May 22 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, but you may be wondering when it will come out on the Nintendo Switch. While Maneater has been confirmed for the Nintendo Switch, the release date is currently listed as “later 2020”, so, unfortunately, you won’t be able to pick it up on Nintendo’s console/handheld hybrid yet. Many retailers are listing the game for Switch with a release date of Dec 31, but this just appears to be a decision to list it with the latest possible release date of the year.

Maneater is shaping up to be a very unusual game, as it combines RPG elements, allowing you to customize your shark, and improve your stats. You can even evolve bodyparts, improve how they work, and go into killer frenzies to quickly take out multiple targets. You need to kill as many things as possible to try to evolve as much as you can.

The whole point of Maneater is to play through the campaign and get your revenge on Scaly Pete, the fisherman who killed your mother. It won’t be easy, as Scaly Pete is a smart fisherman, and he hates sharks because one of them killed his father.
