Soon after Google unveiled Android 12, OnePlus announced the first open beta for the flagship OnePlus 9 series, the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. In addition, the company finally revealed the list of OnePlus phones that are eligible for the OxygenOS 12 update. Notably, this is the first major update that integrates the codebase of OxygenOS and ColorOS after OnePlus’ merger with Oppo.

OxygenOS 12 will be available on the OnePlus 7 series and newer smartphones. That includes the OnePlus 7/ 7T series, 8 series, and 9 series, other than the Nord series. You can check the complete list of OnePlus phones eligible for OxygenOS 12 below:

Before we move on, let’s address the missing OnePlus Nord devices in the list. We already know that OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100 budget phones were entitled to a single major Android update. Considering these phones launched with Android 10, the major update was Android 11. Hence, you won’t get Android 12 update on OnePlus Nord N10 5G and N100.

OxygenOS 12 brings visual changes to Zen Mode and the newly-added Private Safe app to hide sensitive photos and files. It also embraces neumorphism to add subtle gradients and shadows to the interface. You’ll notice an updated OnePlus Shelf, Work Life Balance 2.0, three levels of dark modes, Canvas AOD 2.0, Games Toolbox 2.0, and expanded availability of Scout.
