Petra Venj in the Dreaming City in Destiny 2: Forsaken has a daily bounty titled Challenge: The Shattered which as Guardians to locate Toland. But where exactly is Toland located? Keep reading to find out.
Update: Toland seems to be present in all of Petra’s bounties that send you to the Ascendant Plane. His location varies in each area, but you’ll always be able to identify him by the bright white floating spark. He’ll usually give you some lore background and then zip to another location. Players have reported following Toland for as many as twenty jumps before losing track or dying, or simply running out of the Ascendance buff.
Challenge: The Shattered
This daily bounty from Petra Venj is somewhat cryptic. Its lore text states:
The lore text provides us with a vital clue. To complete it, you must locate Toland in the Ascendant Plane.

Where is Toland Located
The clue is the “Ascendant Plane.” This means that Toland can only be found during the Ascendant Challenge. This differs from week to week, but fortunately for you, we have guides for each of them.
Once you reach the Ascendant Plane, look for a floating spark of bright light. This is Toland. “But how?” you may ask. If you’re interested in finding out more about Toland, consult this Destinypedia entry.
To complete the Challenge: The Shattered bounty, you have to approach Toland and listen to what he has to say. That should complete the bounty, and you can redeem it for your rewards from your inventory. Keep in mind that you do not have to do this during the action of the Ascendant Challenge.
