With the recent release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, we got some new Pokémon added to the Pokédex, including the new Paradon Pokémon Iron Jugulis. If you remember Hydreigon, then you’ll have an idea of what Iron Jugulis will be like, as it’s a closely related but more modernized version of the Dark and Dragon Type Generation V Pokémon. Iron Jugulis resembles a dragon in a way but has a much brighter coloring to it with purples, pinks, and black. Keep reading along to learn where to catch Iron Jugulis in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Where to Find Iron Jugulis in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
If you’re looking to catch Iron Jugulis for yourself, there’s only one way to start: head to the only location it can be found, the Great Crater of Paldea. If you haven’t heard of the Great Crater of Paldea, it could be because of a couple of different reasons. To access the Great Crater of Paldea and catch Iron Jugulis in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must:
- Complete Victory Road
- Complete Path of Legends
- Complete Starfall Street
- Be playing on Pokémon Violet
This only means one thing: you cannot get Iron Jugulis if you are playing Pokémon Scarlet. However, Iron Jugulis is quite a fierce Pokémon to take into battle with you, and it’s pretty worth it to play through the story on Pokémon Violet just so that you may have a chance to catch one. Not to mention, you cannot complete the Pokédex without it.
Once you’ve made it to the Great Crater of Paldea, you’ll have to venture deep into the lowest portion of the caves in Area Zero, where Iron Jugulis is most likely to spawn. If you’ve been here before to attempt to catch Iron Valiant, then you know where to head to. They spawn in the same area. However, Iron Jugulis is very rare, and it’s possible that you could spend quite some time in the caves before you are even able to find one. Though, luck may be on your side this time.
Iron Jugulis is one of 16 Paradox Pokémon that you can catch after you’ve completed the game, giving you something extra to work toward once you’ve done everything else you need to for the base storyline of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. 8 of these 16 Paradox Pokémon are made up of Ancient Pokémon Relatives, found only in Pokémon Scarlet, and the other 8 are Futuristic Pokémon Relatives, exclusive to Pokémon Violet.
