God of War Ragnarok is much bigger than the franchise’s previous game. Not only in terms of story and environment but in terms of gameplay as well. There are new upgrades for Kratos’ weapons, new abilities, and a set of new runic attacks found throughout the Nine Realms. One of the best runic you can find in the game that deals a lot of damage is the Fog of Fimbulwinter for the Leviathan Axe. So here is the guide on where you to find the Fog of Fimbulwinter runic attack in God of War Ragnarok.
Where to Find Fog of Fimbulwinter in God of War Ragnarok
As you progress with the story and unlock new areas, you can find certain chests containing runic attacks that give Kratos the ability to perform a new set of attacks and combos. Fog of Fimbulwinter is one of these runic attacks that you can find in Svartalfheim.
The specific place you want to be in Svartalfheim is the Myrkr Tunnels. You can get there by taking the train to the Forge or using any nearby Mystic Gateway. An opening beside the train will let you go underground to the tunnels.
As you go through the Myrkr Tunnels, you will come across a big chamber that is lit by natural light, which is hard to miss. You can see the blocked gate and the chest containing Fog of Fimbulwinter on the other side of it.
There is another path on the right that you must take. You will notice that red vines are blocking your way as you go further. To destroy them, ignite the barrel that is located on the right side of it. Be careful if you are near the barrel; you will also take damage.

Once the vines are destroyed, the path will be clear, and you can open the chest and get the Fog of Fimbulwinter. This runic attack creates a massive ice wave and deals Frost damage to the nearby enemies, which becomes handy in situations where you have to find many enemies.
God of War Ragnarok is now available exclusively for PS4 and PS5.
