After finishing Bayonetta 3, I can use my witchy timing powers and do a split-second reading: if you play Bayonetta 3, you must spend all your halos on cosmetics. What’s that? Oh, you don’t have any halos.
Guess I’ll never live up to the witch of Umbra. I’d better save my supernatural powers for another time and focus on a more conventional guide on how to acquire Halos in Bayonetta 3 in the first place. Perhaps you’d like to stick around.
Halos are pretty hard to find in Bayonetta 3. They are usually dropped by angels. Those statements might have raised some long-time players’ eyebrows. But in Bayonetta 3, angels are no longer the main baddies.
Fewer angels would mean fewer halos, but with this guide, you’ll be able to farm halos in no time.
Where to Find Halos in Bayonetta 3
Option 1: Jeanne’s Mini-Game
Jeanne, a sapphic witch by day and fashion extraordinaire by night, has got her stealth mini-game. As if she could walk by unnoticed, right?
Once you complete Side Chapter 4, you’ll be able to access this admittedly dull and absurd arcade-style mini-game. Each stage rewards more and more halos progressively. Hey, at least you got to play as Jeanne.
Option 2: Hidden Verses
Every Bayonetta 3 level keeps a few Hidden Verses, well, hidden. You don’t need to complete them to progress through the level.
Some of these Hidden Verses are against Angels rather than Homunculi. You’ll receive significant Halo rewards if you defeat them quickly and impressively.
The best way to find Hidden Verses is to press the Left Stick button, check where the level-process direction is, and ignore it. Explore every other direction besides the right one, and you’ll eventually come across a Hidden Verse.
