As we get closer to Halloween, video game enthusiasts, especially those who prefer online games, will receive new content related to Halloween. While some games merely add new skins and cosmetic items, Epic Games has decided to hold an event called Fortnitemare, where the player not only receives many new Halloween-themed cosmetic items, but also many new quests that they can complete earning more rewards and XP. One of the new quests in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 requires players to destroy five jack o’ lanterns, and here is where to find them.
Where to Find Jack O’ Lanterns in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4
Epic Games always makes sure to design the quests of Fortnite in a way to encourage players to check new locations, try out new mechanisms, and remind them of the older gameplay aspects they might have forgotten.
This is also the case for the Fortnitemare quests that were added to Fortnite last week where players could participate the earn different awards and XP. Among them, you can find a quest where the game asks players to destroy five jack o’ lanterns with a Ranged Weapon.
Finding Ranged Weapon is no difficult task since you can find this type of weapon on the group’s loot and normal chests. The game also doesn’t specify what Ranged Weapon to use so you can choose from SMGs to Shotguns and Assault Rifles.
The difficult part of this quest is to find five jack o’ lanterns in the enormous map of the game. There are three different locations where you are guaranteed to find some jack o’ lanterns and complete the related quest.
Fortnite: How to Destroy Jack-o’-Lanterns With a Ranged Weapon
The first location is Fort Jonesy which is located on the East side of the map. Bear in mind that this location is one of the most dangerous places you can drop yourself at the start of the game. But as much as the risk is high, the reward is as well. You can find more than six jack o’ lanterns in this location which is more than enough to complete the quest.
The next two locations are Greasy Grove and Tilted Towers which are less dangerous than Fort Jonesy. Greasy Grove is located on the West side of the map and you can find jack o’ lanterns in the houses located there. The Tilted Towers is located at the center of the map, East of Reality Tree. You can find some jack o’ lanterns in the two buildings between the watchtower.
